About Abigail
Currently based in Minnesota, Abigail Olson grew up in New York City and was encouraged in her artistic inclinations by a family that both practiced and loved fine art. Abigail attended Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School for Visual Art from 2015-2019, attending workshops at the Art Students League and Grand Central Atelier outside of school. From 2019-2021 she earned an Associate’s of Applied Science in Illustration at the Fashion Institute of Technology. Most recently in May of 2025, she graduated from the 4-year program at Great Lakes Atelier of Fine Art in Duluth, MN.
High school and college provided introductory experience in various media and subjects, and Abigail pivoted her focus from Illustration to Fine Art following the Covid-19 pandemic and consequent remote learning. Drawn to Great Lakes Atelier’s intensive in-studio learning and focus on Classical Impressionism, she moved from NYC to Duluth and undertook the four-year full-time program headed by Jeffrey T. Larson.
Abigail’s artistic influences consist of her family, the old masters, the NYC art scene, classical atelier training, and her desire to capture and express the beauty of creation and humanity. She is currently an artist-member of Studio Pintura in NE Minneapolis.
